CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management

There are no formal entry requirements. However, you should ideally have prior experience in HR or people management, or demonstrate the capability to undertake study and assessments at this level.
Aspiring or current HR professionals, HR advisors, people managers, and business partners looking to advance into mid-level or strategic HR roles and broaden their understanding of core people practices.
There are no formal exams. Instead, you will complete written assessments for each unit to demonstrate your knowledge, analytical thinking, and ability to apply people management principles in real-world scenarios.

Standard Support might be suitable for you if you have already completed a CIPD qualification through us and don’t need the added support and services.
CIPD Registration fee is the official enrollment fee payable to CMI to register you as a learner.
With the Standard Package we offer a prescribed list of modules/ study units only.

Each learner has a Study Coach and Mentor to keep you on track with your studies, provide you with study support and help ensure you successfully complete your studies in a smart and productive way as we know your time is valuable to you. Their services to you also include:
– A one-to-one formal induction on how to use the study portal, indicative content and how to do effective research
– Provide you with a guide and support with writing assignments
– Provide you with support initiating each new unit
– Be on hand to support you at any time
Our learner surveys regularly highlight the value of having a study coach and mentor in helping them successfully achieve their qualifications in the most effective way.
You will have access to a CIPD tutor for specific Management and Leadership related questions.
Pre-marking of each assignment by qualified CIPD Tutors prior to the official marking (2 pre-marks per unit) to professionally guide you with each different assignment and the respective subject matter to make sure you are on track with what the official assessors are looking for.
One free retake for each assignment in case your assignment is referred.

This unit introduces you to how organisations function and the external factors that influence them, such as economic shifts, legal changes, and technological advancements. You’ll explore the importance of organisational culture, values, and behaviours, and how these influence employee experience and performance. You’ll also gain an understanding of how people professionals support and manage change initiatives, helping organisations adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Data and insight are central to effective people practice. In this unit, you’ll learn the fundamentals of using people data and analytics in HR, including how to gather, analyse, and interpret basic HR metrics. You’ll also explore how to present information clearly and confidently to inform decision-making, improve policies, and solve problems. The unit also introduces you to basic financial documents and budgeting principles that impact HR operations.
People professionals are expected to act ethically, inclusively, and professionally in all they do. This unit focuses on developing the core behaviours outlined in the CIPD Profession Map. You’ll explore topics such as professional integrity, valuing others, effective communication, and how to reflect on your own strengths and areas for development. You’ll also learn how to build positive working relationships and apply these behaviours in real-world HR and L&D contexts.
This practical unit covers the day-to-day knowledge and tasks involved in supporting the employee lifecycle. You’ll gain hands-on skills in areas such as recruitment and selection, onboarding, employee records, performance management, and handling absence or grievances. You’ll also gain an understanding of key aspects of UK employment law, and how to apply HR policies and procedures fairly and consistently. This unit provides the practical foundation for working confidently in an entry-level HR or L&D role.
