CMI Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading
The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) is a professional institution for management that was founded in 1947 and was responsible for the UK’s first diploma in management studies. The CMI is backed by the Royal Charter, which means it is the only chartered professional body that can award the prestigious Chartered Manager status.
This CMI Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading qualification is a Vocationally Related Qualification (VRQ) that is targeted at new and aspiring team leaders to support their development of knowledge and skills in leading a team.
This qualification is accredited on to the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) and is
regulated by The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Upon successful completion of this qualification, you will have achieved 15 QCF credits.
This qualification is suitable for learners who are new or aspiring to the role of team leader. There are no specific entry requirements for this CMI Level 2 qualification, but as a learner it is expected that you are working within an organisation or role where they can demonstrate skills and apply knowledge. Alternatively, you could draw on previous experience within an organisation or even use an organisation you are familiar with.
This qualification is recognised by employers, who agree that it provides skills and knowledge for individuals entering the management sector in roles including, but not limited to:
Premium support: 8 months.
Standard support: 6 months.
CMI qualifications at RQF level 2 portray practical team leading skills and competencies that are rated in academic terms as being comparable to GCSEs at 9-4 (A*-C) grade.
Learners need to select three units to a minimum of 15 credits.
